Little Amadeus Foundation (in foundation)

The charitable Little Amadeus Foundation has its main focus in organizing Little Amadeus Special Event Days at primary schools throughout Germany free of charge. This means to open children an access to the person and work W.A. Mozart and other composers, and thus to encourage children to take an interest in classical music and playing a musical instrument. Educationalists will be provided with free instructional material. Ensembles and musicians are invited to play at those schools interested in staging an event. In the years 2006 - 2008 three Little Amadeus Special Event days had already held throughout Germany. In the future this idea should be expanded to other European countries.

Little Amadeus Special Event Days are a part of the general project of "Little Amadeus" operated by GATEWAY4M. Little Amadeus and other characters of the same titled TV- series "Little Amadeus" (awarded with Echo Klassik in 2006 and 2007) are used as identification figures for the pedagogical work. Further aspects of the project are "Live Concerts" a kind of entertaining concerts for children or the "Little Amadeus Opera", an association which performs Mozart's finest operas as Magic Flute, Don Giovanni or The Abduction from the Seraglio suitable for children. For the upcoming years three cinema films featuring "Little Amadeus" are planned. The first film will be set in Austria, the second film will show Amadeus's journeys through Europe.
