The "Fondazione Arcadia" was founded in March 1991 in Milan. The main focus of the foundation is the promotion of the diffusion, development, performance and research of Italian vocal and instrumental music in the 18 century. For this reason an own ensemble "Accademia d´Arcadia" (playing on original instruments) has been founded. The members of this orchestra ar young musicians of high quality and international experience in "Musica Antica". Scope of a committee consisting of international known scientists is the musicology of ancient music. Above the foundation organizes master classes and seminars with international lecturers.
