mica - music austria is the professional partner for creators of music in Austria.
mica - music austria was founded in 1994 as an independent, non-profit association at the initiative of the Republic of Austria.

Team goals are:

• the provision of information about the music life in Austria as well as the research in the field of contemporary music
• the support of Austrian contemporary music creators through advice and information
• dissemination of domestic musical creation through promotion at home and abroad
• improving the framework of creating music in Austria

mica - music austria is both nationally and internationally connected and a member of EMO (European Music Office), IAMIC (International Association of Music Information Centres), IAML (International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres) and IMC (International Music Council ).
All services of mica - music austria are for free for the domestic music creators.
