Young ambassadors of European Mozart Ways in the footsteps of W.A. Mozart in Italy
The project will continue this year with a concert tour in Italy (24.08.-01.09.2019). Travelling stations are: San Gemini / Terni, Vatican State, Rome, Sorrento, Assisi, Florence, Bologna, Lamole in Chianti as well as extra Moenia Napoli.
The Salzburg Youth Symphony Orchestra, "Young Ambassadors of the European Mozart Ways" will perform "works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Leopold Mozart and Carl Stamitz".
Since 2017, there has been a cooperation between the University of Mozarteum and the cultural network "European Mozart Ways" (EMW), which connects cities, regions and institutions in the ten European countries that Mozart visited during his travels. BELLA MUSICA has been awarded by the Province of Salzburg to the Young Ambassador Orchestra of the European Mozart Ways. In 2018, a new cooperation was agreed with one of the most important music institutions in Italy, which the University Mozarteum Salzburg, which organizes and organizes this project, is very happy about: The Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome is now another partner besides the University of Music Würzburg (since 2016) of the project Bella Musica. In addition to the artistic director and conductor Stefan David Hummel, the following conductors collaborated with the orchestra: Luca Rinaldi, Guido Corti, Michelangelo Galeati (Italy), Michael Walter, Dominik edivý, Norbert Brandauer and Kai Röhrig (Austria / Germany) as well as professor of the University Mozarteum advises and supports the project.
