Germany - Offenbach"A day full of Mozart" - Offenbach's connection with the musical genius continues even in times of pandemic September 25 / Offenbach am Main / Büsingpalais21.09.2021 On Saturday, September 25, an extensive Mozart program will be held at the Büsingpalais under the title "A Day Full of Mozart" starting at 2 pm. Nearly 30 young Mozart enthusiasts and a dozen professionals from the music school's teaching staff will create a generous and inspired Mozart program into the early evening. Beginning at 2 p.m., students from the School of Music will pay tribute to Mozart on piano, violin, cello, flute, recorder, French horn and guitar. There will also be music by centenarians, such as Camille Saint-Saëns, who died 100 years ago, and Astor Piazzolla, who would have turned 100 this year. Starting at 5 p.m., teachers from the music school will play an eventful program. Well-known classics such as "Exsultate, jubilate" can be experienced as well as Slavonic Dances by Antonín Dvořák or the spectacular 'Danse macabre' by Saint-Saëns, each in versions for four-hand piano. The work 'MittelZart' by Lukas Grossmann, which brings Mozart together with Igor Stravinsky, will be premiered. With the "open wings" a new piano pedagogical concept will be presented. Organizers are the Musikschule Offenbach e.V. and the Office for Cultural Management. « Back |
