In terms of national relationships, the GNC has drawn up a cooperative agreement with the University of Pavia – Musicological Faculty (Cremona) to give further opportunities to students of both institutions. In recent years the GNC has received visiting professors from Hogeschool Zuid Heerlen (NL); from the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Mainz, Stuttgart and Trossingen (D); a Bilateral Agreement has been signed with the Jo-hannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz – Hochschule für Musik (D), with the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen (D) and with the University of Ljubljana, Academy of Music (SLO). In 2005-06 some common projects between the GNC and the Lycee Victor Hugo in Besançon (F) were developed and carried out by teachers’ and students’ mobility. As for relationships with non-European Countries, the GNC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the UMBC University of Maryland – Baltimore County and with the Tokoha Gakuin Junior College of Shizuoka (Japan).
With the aim of rendering its actions more effective, the GNC would like to incorporate European relationships into the framework of its Erasmus program. The GNC publicises its Erasmus activities on its webpage, in the Conservatoire Newsletter, on notice boards, and through the press too.
The GNC complies with Italian law with regard to facilities for students/teachers with physical disabilities, and it is already attended by students from European and non-European Countries. The GNC undertakes to comply with every kind of non-discriminatory ob-jective.
Due to recent reforms in Italian law regarding professional music studies, Italian conservatoires (the GNC included) use ECTS. This signifies that they are ready to recognise Erasmus study periods abroad.
